About Me

Photographer | Journalist

Here is me in a nutshell…

I graduated from my Bachelors of Journalism and Arts, majoring in history and sociology, in December 2020 from the University of Queensland. I am now looking forward to pursuing a fulfilling career in media and communications.

I have been working as a self-employed photographer since September 2020. I thoroughly enjoy the work I do and believe my photographic skills and attention to detail can benefit me in a communications role. Although I am passionate about my photography business, I prefer to keep this as a part-time position and fit it around a career more suited to me and my degree.

During my studies, I was fortunate enough to intern at two digital media organisations – The Good Guide and Urban List. In these roles, I had the chance to plan, research and write a variety of articles for online publication. I also worked as an English tutor (so I know the difference between there, their and they’re) and can proofread my own work.

Want to know more about me as a person? Well, most of the time I am a pretty serious and goal-orientated person. I am very honest, and I like to share my experiences in the hope that it helps others. I am very enthusiastic about female empowerment and body acceptance and consider myself a somewhat educated feminist (there is always room to learn!). I like travelling, the cold, my Scottish relatives, being independent, creating art and my family.
